Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story

Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story on SonyLiv is a biographical financial thriller that explores the meteoric rise and fall of Harshad Mehta. It focuses on the financial fraud which erupted in the Indian stock market in 1992. The story begins with a young and promising jobber in the Bombay Stock Exchange. He earns money through commissions.

However, his obsession with making money takes him down a road of addiction. As a result, he finds himself embroiled in a rash of criminal charges. Eventually, he loses his life to a heart attack.

Gullak Season 1 and 2

Gullak is a drama series by TVF. It follows the daily life of a middle-class family. This show is a great watch for those who are looking for a good laugh. The show has an amazing cast and is well-written.

The main character is Anand “Annu” Mishra, son of Shanti Mishra, a homemaker. He is an electrical engineer working with the electricity department. Annu is not quite settled in his life yet. His mother is worried about him when he is away for an exam.

Love J Action

Love J Action on SonyLiv is a web series that is set to make its debut on March 12. The show revolves around the characters of Jackson Awasthi and Kamya Gupta. These two individuals are in love with each other but they are unable to consummate their relationship because of various reasons.

In addition to the main characters, the show also features a secondary cast that includes Vikrant, Abhay, Minty, and other friends and acquaintances. However, the plot line is a bit too convoluted to be able to get a clear picture of what’s going on.

Mr. Mercedes

Mr. Mercedes on SonyLiv is a crime thriller based on Stephen King’s novel. The story follows a retired police officer, Bill Hodges, who finds himself in the midst of a deadly serial killer.

Although the series is a bit light on substance, it still manages to entertain. A good cast and a clever plot help keep things going, and the show isn’t short on the drama – or the horror – that’s needed to keep viewers interested.

Mr. Mercedes also has the distinction of being the first installment in Stephen King’s Bill Hodges trilogy. Its main character, retired police detective Bill Hodges, is haunted by an unsolved case, and he has to take some big risks to find the culprit.

Undekhi

You can watch Undekhi on Sony Liv if you want to enjoy a gritty crime drama. The series features outstanding performances by its cast. Its plot is compelling and the twists it offers are intriguing.

Its story revolves around the murder of a tribal girl in Manali. The rich and powerful family of the town tries to cover up their wrongdoings.

But the truth is revealed in the show. Among other things, there is a lot of humor, suspense, and drama.

Tanaav

The SonyLiv web series Tanaav has finally landed on the platform. It’s a Hindi action thriller streaming series. While it’s not perfect, it’s definitely worth a watch.

Tanaav is an adaptation of the Israeli television series Fauda. Sudhir Mishra is the director. His Indian adaptation is excellent, but there are some inconsistencies.

Tanaav is about a special task force unit that operates in Kashmir. When the enemy attacks the valley, Kabir Farooqi is called out of retirement to catch the perpetrator. Meanwhile, Umar Riaz, the antagonist, is planning a deadly attack in the area.

Monsterland

If you are into horror, you should probably check out Monsterland. This Hulu series takes a look at humanity’s darker side and uses supernatural and symbolism to highlight it.

Monsterland is an anthology series, consisting of eight episodes. Each episode is a separate story, and there are no tidy resolutions to be had. That being said, there are plenty of characters to keep an eye out for. Some are a bit more memorable than others, so it’s important to keep track of them all.

The Whistleblower

If you are a fan of the Vyapam Scam, then you will definitely love SonyLiv’s newest web series, The Whistleblower. Featuring Ravi Kishan and Ritwik Bhowmik, this web series is based on the real-life PMT Scam.

The Whistleblower is about a medical intern, Sanket, who gets embroiled in a medical racket. Using money and shady tactics, he ends up cheating on his girlfriend with her sister. He catches the attention of Jairaj Jatav, a low-caste politician who is aware of the systematic discrimination and the importance of a doctor in the medical industry.
